Trapping Has Never Been Easier
Endorsed by top rescue leagues around the country, this all-in-one feral cat trapping kit has everything you need to trap and care for stray and feral cats. This trap is ideal for use with Trap-Neuter-Return programs, as well as catching the pesky stray in your yard.
Set and Release with One Hand
Set this humane squirrel trap in just 1 simple step. Just pull on the patented Easy Set® lever to lock open the door, and it's ready for a catch. Best of all, the lever also allows you to release the animal while standing away from the trap, clear of the animal's escape path.
Enlarged Hand Guard and Carrying Handle Protect You
An enlarged steel plate covers the entire width of the top of the trap, protecting your hand from contact with the animal, and the updated, rigid plastic carrying handle makes the handling experience even more comfortable for you.
Safe, Rolled Metal Edges Protect the Animal
Just like the Havahart® squirrel trap you've relied on for years, this one is constructed of one-piece wire mesh, galvanized for resistance to rust and corrosion. And edges are polished smooth to protect the animal from injuring itself during transport.
No-Escape Door Lock Gives You Peace of Mind
The tightly spring-loaded door features updated door locks and added reinforcements, making your squirrel trap more escape-proof than ever.

Review RateWorked as represented, very well.
The trap performed as represented. I appreciated the carrying handle and the one-hand setting. A rat had gnawed through the wooden trim around a door of the house and was squatting in the resulting interior space. I baited and set the trap and placed its opening against the trim. It caught the rat quickly.
Review Ratechipmunk trapping made easy
these people that can't catch a chipmunk should try an old trick i used to catch rats, put a small mouse trap with the bait on it deep into the cage, when the mouse trap is tripper, the chip will jump around and trip the trigger.or place a mouse glue trap in the trap, trying to get out of the glue will trip the trigger
Review Rateeasy set rat review
We have a engineering problem with the Easy set Rat trap Cage...I had a young rat about 4 inches long .in the trap, he was there a while because the bait was gone. I picked the cage up, it ran aran the cage llke a nut. any way i watched him squeeze under the door and was gone looking over the door there is a small gap enough for it to squeeze throw .take a good look at the door and let me know what i can do. if the door stop was back by less then a 1/4 of an inch we could keep the rat in, I had a lot of pernature Trap triggered on the double door rat trap.I think that is because the trigger is so sensitive. all you have to do is sneeze and the doors would close. but could it be the small rats getting out? I like the Easy set trap because once you get it place ,then just pull the handle back , and let it go. where the double doors are too sensitive and you have to be verrry careful when setting it in position.. I own Three large easy set tapes & five old style traps and i am going to sell the old style ones. I trap professionally in Florida under Mr.Gopher of north florida.
Review RateVery Simple to Use
Used rat trap and a peanut for years, until we had 3 young ones in a parent less burrow. Bought model 1025, but had to adjust it by slightly bending the looped arm away from trap to reduce contact length on bait pan arm. It then took much less pressure on bait pan to trip doors. Used it in single door mode, and have caught "Larry and Moe" today. "Curly" hopefully will be caught tomorrow morning. Their forever home is much nicer than my front yard. Used peanut butter on the pan with a peanut stuck in it.
Review RateChipmunk catcherOur new unwanted tenant, ' Mr. Chipmunk ' moved in for a stay just before we had to leave for a weekend and stayed. Finding your info took a few days to receive. The first night he didn't take advantage of his new quarters, but on the second night he settled in and the next morning was set loose & really ran.
Review RateRequires extra wtI like this live trap. The cat brought in two live chipmunks. The chipmunks took refuge under the kitchen cabinet =((. The trigger platform required more weight i.e. making two rows of quarters ($2.00) to capture the chipmunks. The chipmunk ate one peanut without triggering the trap. Munching on a second peanut caused the trigger plate to work.
Review RateWorked greatWorked great only took two days to catch the garage rat I had been after for several weeks. He took the good in my first trap and didn't trigger the door. He then went after the second trap and that was it caught finally. Anazing how much damage rats can do to walls water lines washing machines etc
Review RateEasy Set Trap too focused on \"easy set\" ...
After having used this trap for several weeks, my qualified opinion is that the Easy Set Trap design is too focused on "easy set" and not enough on function. Initially, I watched chipmunks on several different occasions walk on and across the release plate without tripping the door; other reviewers have complained about this. Havahart recommends placing a coin or two on the release plate but, that shouldn't be necessary. I mean, this is not rocket science folks. After moving the release parts around while watching closely, one issue became apparent ... The amount of tension/friction that must be initially overcome to release the door is too high. I partly solved this problem by inserting a piece of plastic straw in between the metal parts that rub together; see the photo. This improved performance significantly but chipmunks still get away without tripping the door.Response From Havahart®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative
We appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience. Our product team always looks for possible product improvements and consumer suggestions are helpful. Placing the bait so the animal must have increased interaction with the trip plate can also increase the catch rate.

Review RateNot worth it.
I bought two of these to catch chipmunks. I must have smart chipmunks because the bait is always gone, and either the trap did not trigger, or somehow it is closed with nothing in the trap.Response From Havahart®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

The trap should trigger easily by poking the trip plate with a pencil or stick. Mice or other smaller animals could get to the bait & leave. We look forward to helping get those chipmunks caught.
