Trapping Has Never Been Easier
Trapping a skunk has never been easier than with Havahart® Easy Set® traps. Patented technology allows you to set your trap with just one hand, and set animals free without ever touching the door. Plus, updated sturdy hardware provides additional comfort and durability.
Enlarged Hand Guard and Carrying Handle Protect You
An enlarged steel plate covers the entire width of the top of the trap, protecting your hand from contact with the animal, and the updated, rigid plastic carrying handle makes the handling experience even more comfortable for you.
Safe, Rolled Metal Edges Protect the Animal
Just like the Havahart® trap you've relied on for years, this one is constructed of one-piece wire mesh, galvanized for resistance to rust and corrosion. And edges are polished smooth to protect the animal from injuring itself during transport or as it struggles to escape.
No-Escape Door Locks Give You Peace of Mind
The tight spring-loaded door features an updated door lock with added reinforcements, making your trap more escape-proof than ever.
Sensitivity Screw to Target Specific Sized Animals
This sensitivity screw allows you to tailor the trip force of the trap to the target animal. For small animals like squirrels that require more sensitivity to trip the trap, turn the sensitivity screw to the left (-). Larger animals like skunks need less sensitivity, so turn the screw to the right (+), generating a less sensitive trip action. The sensitivity screw gives you the opportunity to catch only the animals you want.

Review RateGreat trap, did the job!
Finally solved the squirrel in the garden problem! Thanks to this Havahart® Medium 1-Door Easy Set® Trap, Mr. Squirrel is now living in a nice forest 4 miles from my garden, eating hickory nuts and not my tomatoes.....thanks Havahart!
I bought the 1 door squirrel trap & at first it seemed to work well. Now the squirrels are getting out if you don’t see them right off they will escape. They dig underneath the trap & can even overturn it. Should the trap be on only a hard surface? How do I weight the tension down.Response From Havahart®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for providing this feedback! We recommend placing the trap flat on the ground and anchoring the trap by placing something on top of it to prevent it from being overturned. To increase the sensitivity of the trap, we recommend adding a pebble/washer to the trip plate.

Review RateTrip weighs
The trip mechanism was not sensitive enough. Squirrels were escaping with with the bate and laughing all the way to the tree. After reading your response to Peter I stoped by the Tire shop and got a handful of old tire weights. The 1oz worked best. Covered with peanut butter. The SOQ did not escape
I got rid of all the squirrels
Review RateBring back the old models
Sorry, but the old style trip/trigger mechanism worked so much better. I am watching a squirrel have breakfast of peanuts that are in the far end of the trap. She is standing on the trip plate. I tried putting a small stick under the handle to make it more sensitive but that was unsuccessful. The old saying about building a better mouse trap. Nope. It did not work for Victor eitherResponse From Havahart®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We first recommend testing the trap to make sure it is triggering with little force to the trigger plate. If everything seems to be working correctly, we recommend increasing the sensitivity of the trap by adding something small onto the trigger plate like a metal washer or pebble. Tying the bait above or burying it underneath the trigger plate also works well.
Hopefully these suggestions help to rectify this experience! Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-HAVAHART (1-855-542-8242) with any questions or for additional assistance.

Review RateTrapped two Rabbits at a time
Trapped and released 9 rabbits in two month. A really great investment for protecting your Burford Holly plants.
Review RateExcellent trap
This style trap with the one door is much easier and effective to use than the two door trap. Within two days I caught the pesky squirrel who was intent on throwing out my wife’s pansies from our deck railing flower box. I thought that the squirrel and I had reached an understanding a detente of sorts. Then the war began and I ordered a new trap. Clever guy got the first bate out and escaped the trap. I did not re-bait it and apparently the squirrel may have been clever but he was a greedy little fellow because he went into the un-bated trap to see if there was any thing left. He got caught. I am a very poor fisherman. Maybe I should use an un-bated hook.
