Distract Deer from your Plants, and Train them to Stay Away for Good

This electronic solution works by taking advantage of a deer's heightened sensitivity to smell, attracting them to the individual repelling posts with sweet acorn scented lure inside an azalea-colored casing. When the curious deer contact the post, the Electronic Deer Repellent delivers a very mild static shock, startling the deer and training the animal to avoid your property.

Stakes are Easy to Install and Relocate, So You Can Keep Deer on Their Toes

Proper stake placement is key; posts should be positioned around deer entries, paths, and around plants they like. After deer have been conditioned to avoid certain areas of your property, the units can be moved to protect newly emerging plants or to protect new entryways. And because the batteries last up to 1 year, the product is virtually maintenance-free. Just reapply the powerful acorn scented lure weekly for best results.

Correct Just One Deer, and Repel the Entire Herd

Deer are known to travel in groups and communicate with one another when they locate food or sense danger. All you need is for one deer to touch the deer-repelling stake, and the entire herd will receive the message to stay away.

Safe for Them and Your Family

These posts are both safe for the target animal and for accidental contact. The current produced by this electronic deer repeller has a very low amperage and lasts only a few milliseconds. The voltage range for this product is approximately 300 volts, and it recharges itself slowly, so there is no possibility of a continuous shock. Finally, the lure holder, which also holds the electrodes, is colored red - this serves to attract deer and also gives awareness and caution to the shock area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to be working so far Plants have not been eaten since we put the havahart battery operated stakes out, however, we have also been spraying the flowers with a deer repellent spray so can't be sure which is working. It maybe both. It is better than the repellent spray alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works t. Needless to say the deer repellent works great. I ran into some shipping problems and Havahart did what most companies wouldn't do. They showed true customer service and made me a satisfied customer. More companies should take a lesson from Havahart on how to keep a customer coming back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I bought three of the electronic deer repellent posts last year and used them in combination with Deer Off spray. We have a lot of deer in our yard and this combination has been working well to keep them away from the garden. Bought another three posts this year for additional coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product that does what it says We used these deer repellent stakes in a native plant garden at the edge of the the woods and they worked wonderfully! So when we planted another garden in the same park where we know the deer abound, I ordered another set. So far, we haven't had to use them, but it's reassuring to know that when we need them, we have them and they will work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble. Placed them around my yard in areas that the deer feasted last year. So far, the deer have come into the yard but have not eaten any of my plants. Hope this continues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Easy to Use I bought this product about a month ago and it came packed very well with no damage to the wires. It was easy to put the poles together. I did have to get a screwdriver to get the cotton balls into the slots but so far no deer damage! I'm crossing my fingers.

Asked by: Marcey

How do I test the electronic deer repellent stick using a VOM (Volt-Ohm Mulit-Meter)? The 2 AA batteries put out 3v (if wired in series); however, the specs say voltage is stepped up to 300v. Should I test for 300v DC, or some milliamperage value?

Asked by: GaryG
We recommend testing the unit using something metal with a plastic or rubber handle such as scissors or a tool. When you hold the plastic or rubber portion and touch the metal part to the wires, it will spark!

To create a linear barrier along my property line, how many feet apart should the stakes be placed?

Asked by: Ched
Each individual spike will cover 100-400 square feet. The amount of coverage provided will depend on the direction of the wind as well as the path traveled by the deer.

How well would these work in winter in the upper Midwest? I'm wondering specifically about the effects of freezing temperatures and snow on the effectiveness of the lure and the longevity of both the bait and batteries.

Asked by: CorGeek
We recommend to re-scent the units after a rain or snow storm. The cotton ball with the scent should be changed every three weeks to prevent mildew. The batteries should last approximately 1 to 1.5 years, however; cold weather climates can dramatically reduce the battery life, so it is recommended to occasionally check the batteries to ensure they are charged.
