These clowns don't even know the trigger weight of their own traps. Never gonna bother calling those dipshits at their Customer Service again, also gonna return this shit on principle.
Hard to set up. Sometimes squirrels and chipmunks walk in and walk out. I feel like I am just feeding the wildlife. The bar that holds the mechanism in place is attached to a plastic joiner that doesn't hold the bar and falls off. We have now list the bar so the whole thing was a waste of money
I never leave online reviews but my experience with this model has been so frustrating. I've had good success using Havahart *all-metal traps*, but this model is plastic in all the critical areas and doesn't work. The metal bar that is supposed to secure the door gets all bound up in the plastic and doesn't come down when the door is triggered. Sounds like other reviewers are having similar issues. The company agreed to send a replacement, and I'm hoping that my unit rather than the whole model design is defective, but I'm not optimistic.
I purchased the one door small live trap and was happy with how well it worked until I lost the trigger rod. I checked with Havaheart and they do not sell any replacements parts. Since there are no replacement parts available the trap is now worthless. This seems to be a common problem for Havaheart customers.
Do you sell parts for this? Specifically the separate rod on the outside that connects the trap door to the lever on the plate.

How do you set up he 1026 trap
Question by: Sandra mueller on Apr 8, 2024, 1:05 PM
Please follow the steps below to set this trap -
1. Turn the Door Lock to the open position.
2. Holding the door open, place the bait behind the Trip Plate.
3. Remove the Trigger Rod from the top of the trap. Attach the plastic end to the Trigger Rod Connection.
4. Press down on the assembled Trigger Rod. Meanwhile, lift the Trip Plate Trigger and gently position the flat end of the Trigger Rod under the Trip Plate Trigger so the door is held open and the Trip Plate is level.
5. Close the Door Lock by resting it on top of the door.

If traps are damaged, it is our recommendation that the trap be replaced so it does not unintentionally injure future catches. Images are available on our website.
