Best Used For:

A Collar-Free Training System

The Havahart® Ultrasonic Basic Trainer is a proven training tool for controlling and modifying your pet’s behavior without the use of a “shock” collar. The Ultrasonic Basic Trainer works by emitting a sharp ultrasonic tone that’s inaudible to humans, but is heard by and distracts dogs. This distraction will immediately stop unfavorable behavior. Simply push the “Manual Correction” button to manually correct your dog and stop him from chewing, digging, and more. By using the Automatic mode, you can have the system detect and stop incessant barking.

Automatically Detects and Corrects Barking

The Ultrasonic Basic Trainer has been programmed to recognize a full range of barking sounds and can automatically correct excessive barking when set to Automatic Mode. Simply place the trainer near your dog, and when the device detects a bark, it will emit the ultrasonic sound preselected by you. If no barking is detected over a period of five minutes, the trainer will go into Sleep Mode to preserve Battery life.

Works for us! By Grey
We have used several different types of buzzers and collars and this is another necessary training aid. We have several dogs in our training facility and if you use a collar - a nearby dog can set it off and so the one with the collar is corrected wrongly. This tool allows you to focus and be there to give the correction when needed - for example when you see one of them starting to eat poo, when one dog is annoying another, when one dog is barking at the gate... - you got the idea;-)!

Excellent Service, Again By TomF
I purchased the untrasonic basic trainer. Shipping time was excellent, arrived in 4 days. My dog responded to the trainer for a couple of days and then ignored the signal . I contacted customer service (2 minute wait), spoke with Patti who was knowledgeable and help me through the return process. This is the second product I have purchased from HavAHart and I continue to be impressed with the excellent service. I will order again.

Q.How does the Ultrasonic Trainer work?

The Havahart® Ultrasonic Basic Trainer corrects nuisance behavior with a sharp, distracting ultrasonic tone, emitted at a frequency that only dogs can hear. The Ultrasonic Trainer has two different modes: Automatic and Manual. In Automatic Mode, the trainer will detect nuisance barking up to 25 feet away, and automatically emits the discouraging ultrasonic tone. In Manual Mode, you can correct any unfavorable behavior by pressing the “Manual Correction” button as the behavior is occurring.

Q.How far away does the Ultrasonic Trainer work?

The Havahart® Ultrasonic Basic Trainer works at distances up to 25 feet.

Q.How long will it take to train my dog?

It is very important to be consistent when training your dog. Anticipating the undesirable behavior and consistently using the Ultrasonic Trainer to distract your pet will deliver the best results.  Keep your training sessions short, 10-15 minutes per session, 2-3 times per day.  And remember to re-tune the ultrasonic sound to your dog’s hearing sensitivity every couple of weeks.
