We started with a couple of these feeders and last year bought four more. The hummers come to them easily. The glass are much easier to keep clean than plastic feeders and they last long if taken care of properly. This year we have had over 8 hummers where a few years ago only 3 or 4. Of all the hummingbird feeders I've purchased (15-20), this one is my favorite so far. The ant moat works well and is deep enough that the water doesn't dry out in one day (like other feeders with shallow moats). I like that the birds can perch while they eat. They seem to stay longer when they can perch. The glass nectar container holds up much better than the plastic ones I've purchased (which dent, become transluscent instead of clear, and can crack and leak). The feeding ports are simple and functional without the unnecessary plastic flowers or yellow screens, which eventually come off, break, or get lost. I'm buying three more! Two for me (to replace my remaining plastic ones) and one as a gift.
