How It Works
The Spray Away Elite Motion Detector Sprinkler Animal Repellent will give you peace of mind. With its water-based repellent you won’t have to worry about your kids or pets playing in the yard. Spray Away Elite works by detecting an animal’s heat and movement with infra-red sensors. Once detected, the system releases a sudden burst of water to scare the animal away. An adjustable sensitivity detector and random spray pattern prevent animals from growing accustomed to the sprinkler.
Instead of a hose, it utilizes a water basin that holds 3.5 gallons of water and lasts for approximately 35 activations. The basin can be buried for discrete nuisance animal protection.

Simple Setup:
1. Attach the sprinkler head with the non-strip wrench (the wrench will slip off when the
sprinkler head is fully tightened, and will not strip the sprinkler).
2. Set your motion detector sprinkler out in the sun to charge.

Woodstream Corp. warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period by the original purchaser/user.

If Woodstream Corp. determines there may be a defect, Woodstream Corp. will issue a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. The defective unit or parts must be returned for warranty inspection using the RGA number, when applicable, as identification within (30) days of return authorization date. DO NOT return products to our factory without our prior consent, as they, as well as C.O.D. shipments will be refused. Woodstream Corp., at its option, shall replace the unit, replace the defective part(s) and return such unit to you. Woodstream Corp.'s sole obligation and your exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be limited to such replacement.
Limitations and Exclusions:
The warranty shall not apply to problems arising from normal wear, or failure to adhere to the enclosed instructions. In addition, the foregoing warranty shall not apply to serial numbered products if the serial number has been removed or defaced; products subject to negligence, accident, improper operation, maintenance or storage; products damaged by circumstances beyond Woodstream Corp.'s control; or products modified (including, but not limited to modifications through the use of unauthorized parts or attachments) or repaired by anyone other than Woodstream Corp. or its designee.
The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It shall not extend beyond the duration of the express warranty provided herein, and the remedy for violations of any warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product pursuant to the terms contained herein. Woodstream Corp. shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages whatsoever.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which may vary based on location.
1. The sprinkler is activating with sounds, but no water comes out.
a. The water in the basin could be frozen. Make sure you do not use the Spray Away Elite in freezing conditions.
b. Debris could be blocking the sprinkler head. Take the sprinkler head off and wipe off any debris.
2. Low Water Indicator Light is blinking even when Water Basin is fully filled.
a. First make sure the motion detector sprinkler is fully charged and filled with water. The unit will not sense distilled (really pure) water – it lacks minerals and unit can’t sense that there’s something in its basin. *Use regular tap water, or put a couple tablespoons of salt in the water and try again. If this doesn’t work, something could be wrong with the low water sensor.
b. If the Water Basin is empty – turn unit OFF and refill basin with water. Turn back ON
3. Low Battery Indicator Light is blinking even though the unit has been recharged according to instructions.
a. Make sure all steps were taken according to instruction manual for the charging phase of the set up process. Make sure unit is turned ON during charging. Initially, a full charge will take 5 hours – up to 24 hours+ in overcast conditions.
b. Make sure the solar panel is free from debris – wipe with a damp cloth
c. Make sure unit is in some sunlight (direct is ideal). If no light hits the unit, it won’t charge properly
d. Unit could be activated very frequently. The more times it activates, the more it needs to use the battery power. Set the sensitivity on low for a few hours to let it get another full charge.
4. Spray Away Elite motion detector sprinkler does not sense animals.
a. Re-aim unit and clean the Infrared Sensor with a soft, damp cloth
5. Spray Away Elite leaks water through its Sprinkler Head
a. Debris is lodged in the Sprinkler Head – remove and run under water to dislodge
b. The Sprinkler Head isn’t on tight enough – use wrench to fully tighten Sprinkler Head on unit
6. Unit is activating when no animal is present
a. The unit is sensing movement. Re-test the sensing area – take a look around to see what might be triggering the unit. Sometimes the unit will sense movement of plants if they’re directly in the sensing area.
7. Low Water & Low Battery Indicator Lights are flashing
a. Turn unit ON and Sensitivity Knob down – recharge in full sun for 2-3 hours. Repeat placement and setting the sensitivity instructions.
I have seen a definite decline in both raccoon and cat "visitation" of my garden beds in the area where this product was deployed… I plan to purchase more to provide coverage of all of my garden beds.

SOLAR POWERED!!! Don't have to hook it up to a hose. Works independently of electric and hose hookup. I like the fact you know it holds 3.5 gallons of water. Then, if it's really empty or full, you have an idea how much repellent/water spray has been used.
