Enlarged Hand Guard and Carrying Handle Protect You

An enlarged steel plate covers the entire width of the top of the trap, protecting your hand from contact with the animal, and the updated, rigid plastic carrying handle makes the handling experience even more comfortable for you.

Safe, Rolled Metal Edges Protect the Animal

Just like the Havahart® squirrel trap you've relied on for years, this one is constructed of one-piece wire mesh, galvanized for resistance to rust and corrosion. And edges are polished smooth to protect the animal from injuring itself during transport.

No-Escape Door Locks Give You Peace of Mind

Two tightly spring-loaded doors feature updated door locks and added reinforcements, making your squirrel trap more escape-proof than ever.

A Two-Door Trap is Quick and Versatile

A two-door squirrel trap allows you to create a clear path from one end of the trap to the other by setting it with both ends open. Place this two-door trap against a wall or along an animal's path in order to capture it as it travels from either direction. In order to access the bait and get to the other end, a squirrel or other rodent must step on the trigger plate, resulting in a catch.

Havahart® Small 2-Door Easy Set® Trap is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 519.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ease of operation Trap works great and I have already relocated 6 chipmunks. Extremely easy to operate and so far raisins see to be the best lure. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to relocate a chipmunk family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and effective First of all this product is exactly as advertised in terms of it's ease of use and effectiveness. Plus, the tips for use on the website also helped me learn the correct methods and techniques for effective live capture of tiny nuisance creatures that needed to be removed from my property. While I never want to see an animal be killed needlessly I also cannot allow these animals to dig under my steps, garden and foundation. This product is exactly what I needed to accomplish the job at hand and to safely relocate Alvin and his family to a place where they will do better work than under my home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievably Successful! We have caught twenty squirrels and chipmunks in the week since we unpacked our two small Havahart traps - truly a remarkable success rate. We watched the videos and followed advice about how to set up and bait the traps - each time within 15 minutes of baiting, we had captured another critter to transport a couple of towns away. I was skeptical about whether the traps would work for squirrels, but they were just right. Peanut butter on the step plate and some bird seed sprinkled around and into the trap proved irresistible. Thank you, Havahart!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Company with Excellent Products & Service I bought the product a month ago to solve a particular problem, and it was shipped to me on time and arrived ready to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bye bye chipmunks! Been overrun this spring with chipmunks. Bought this trap 1 week ago. Already have captured 27 chipmunks(and 2 squirrels). Seems to work best with one door only. With both doors open sometimes the chipmunks are too light to trip doors. Didn't have the one door option at Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! Bought this cage a few weeks ago and had instant success in catching the rodent that was destroying my yard. So easy and humanely removed the pest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Havahart Small 2-door Easy Set Trap I purchased this trap to catch some persons lost pet rat that was living under my yard shed. I had it 3 days and the pet rat was captured. She is now living her life at the Popcorn Park Zoo, a retreat for any animal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from first-time user had borrowed an earlier model, same size-type, and was having great luck capturing the red squirrels we wanted to relocate. as the original four began "multiplying" as each of them were taken to other parts, and it became apparent i'd be wise to have my own (we've now "relocated nine of the critters ... they appear to want at least four of their kind on our lot!). interestingly enough, the older trap has caught 8 of the 9 ... might be the newness "shine" that will fade i. time. i'm please with how well they work ... got lucky enough to watch squirrel #7 step in and become an "instant guest".

I have a large 2 door trap that cats get into and out just as easily? Maybe my configuration is wrong? I don't see my particular trap in your display.

Is there a way to adjust the tension on the trip with this trap? Animals would almost have to jump up and down to set it off.Chipmunks and squirrels steal the bait and get loose. My old trap was great and this one looks well made also.

Asked by: Papp
To increase the sensitivity of the trap, we recommend placing some additional weight on the trigger plate. This can be done using small washers or pebbles.

What is a good bait for chipmunks

Asked by: harris
When trapping chipmunks, we recommend baits such as peanut butter, un-roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds, corn, raisins, prune pits, cereal grains or pumpkin seeds.

i have the 2-door trap for chipmunks. I have baited it at least 10 times and every single time, the bait is gone after 1-2 days, but no rodent. I've used nuts, peanut butter, fruit, etc.

Asked by: fightingterp
We would recommend setting the trap as a one door trap and placing the bait against the closed door. Also hanging the bait from the top of the trap will allow the chipmunk to struggle and have a greater chance of tripping the trap.
