Perhaps I have a herd of very intelligent deer. Afterall, I reside in Silicon Valley :) Sadly, the deer have ignored the stakes and continue to nibble on my roses, etc... Did not anticipate that rain will discharge battery fast. Our deer were not really attracted by the scent of lure. We appreciate the time taken to provide this feedback and apologize for the experience. After a rain, make certain that water has not pooled at the top of the post head. This can cause shorting and prevent the HERD units from properly charging. The lure should be re-applied once a week or right after a rain or snow storm. Cold weather can reduce battery life.
