Review RateMy error in purchase
I ordered too big of a trap (my error). Instruction print was so dense I couldn’t read the instructions as to how to set it up. My local animal shelter helped me. Probably will donate it to them.Response From Havahart®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateNot Happy with this trap....All the traps I have had over the years had a back door/panel that slid up and down to open and close in order to put the food in. This trap has a retainer clip that goes the length of the back on the bottom that takes work to get it in and out, something I certainly don't want to be doing at the site of a trapping. Then there is the door hook that also didn't work well, so I had to go out and buy rope to hold the trap door open. And then the burlap cover. What is this horrific smell that caused me to have to remove the cover from my house? It had me chocking and tearing up. Because this trapping needs to be done right away, I had no choice but to keep this trap. Otherwise I would have returned it.Response From Havahart®Lauren : Consumer Relations RepresentativeThank you for taking the time to share this valuable feedback. At Havahart®, we aim to provide our customers with high-quality, reliable products and regret that this trap did not meet that standard.

Review RateCould be improved greatly...For 3 weeks I prepared a feral cat family (mom and two kittens) at my 96 year old uncle's home for capture using these two traps, but when the day came to capture the kitties, one of the traps failed to trip, routinely, making it possible for the cats to eat the bait food and exit the trap. This made them less hungry, subsequently, and harder to lure. It also made the entire process much more difficult, disruptive, and protracted because each time I captured a kitty, I had to transport it in the trap to my home, where I had a crate set up to receive them. Then I could reuse the good trap, but the cats were becoming wary due to the extra activity. The second cat caught was the mother cat, who was ferocious, so I had to take her IN THE TRAP directly to the no-kill shelter for spaying--but she had to be left there in the good trap. The shelter took a $50 deposit and loaned me a fantastically designed trap that was easier to set, easier to lock and unlock, and preferable in every way.
