Designed For You by Trapping Professionals
The Havahart® Large Collapsible 1-Door Live Animal Trap is designed by trapping experts to be the most effective, convenient and durable trap of its kind. It is carefully constructed with a fine-tuned tripping mechanism that specially targets heavier critters like cats and raccoons - eliminating false triggers - and a powerful trap door that delivers quick, secure captures.
Collapsible and Space-Saving
A big trap can take up a lot of space in your shed or garage when you aren't using it. That's why Havahart® offers a large-sized trap that folds away for better storage. It's easy to collapse, and easy to put together when you're ready to set it up. No trap is more convenient.
Safe for You and the Animal
For You: A solid door and handle guard protect you from contact with a trapped animal, and the carrying handle allows you to hold the trap away from your body while an animal is inside.
For the Animal: A strong door lock keeps the animal safely inside the trap, while smooth, rolled internal trap edges prevent injuries to animals as they are being transported or as they struggle to escape.
Havahart® Traps are Built to Last
Havahart® builds the strongest, most durable traps with premium materials, intended to endure harsh weather and unpredictable animal behavior. Traps are constructed of industrial-strength, one-piece wire mesh, which is galvanized for maximum resistance to rust and corrosion. A solid door and steel reinforcements add to the durability of the trap, ensuring an even longer trap life.

There are outside cats that I'm feeding that I needed to fix. Driving 1.5 hours to borrow cat traps was a nightmare...so I decided to buy my own. These traps are awesome! Easy to assemble and held strong for the cats I caught to be fixed. Ty so much!Date published: 2016-08-28Rated 5 out of 5 by Spittingcave from Feral Cats on Maui Aloha from Maui. as a Site Manager at a Community Association property we have been experiencing an over population of feral cats coming onto our property. We had one cat trap cage that was not enough. So I went online and found Havahart and they had what we needed, we ordered three new ones from Havahart the order only took two weeks from placing the order online and receiving the items ordered. The very first day that we put out the cat trap cages we caught two feral cats within the first hour. All I can say is Mahalo to Havahart for being there when we needed the new cat trap cages. I recommend any Community Association, AOAO, HOA, Apartment Community that has a feral cat problem to get Cat Trap Cages from Havahart online.Date published: 2015-10-05Rated 5 out of 5 by BKRMD from Nailed him in under one week I ordered the large trap because I had a large groundhog that was tearing up my garden. The trap arrived the next day. I caught a raccoon in two days and got the groundhog on the sixth day. I successfully relocated him to a remote wooded area. My only complaint is that the instructions were unclear on how to engage the trip rod into the latch mechanism. I ended opening up the "eye" on the trip rod and threading it into the "eye" on the catch. By the way, I caught him with canteloupe. He had already eaten most of the butternut squash in my garden so I thought he might be tempted by something new!Date published: 2015-07-27Rated 4 out of 5 by Alaska Charlie from Weak spring, too much play in the lock I like the storage convenience of the folding design. In testing the trap out, I noticed that the spring was not quite strong enough to shut the door as quickly and vigorously as I would like. I successfully trapped an animal last night, but as I was about to recover the trap, the animal was able to push hard enough against the door that it was able to squeeze out underneath the door. It looked to me that there was just enough play between the door and the locking mechanism to provide a little clearance at the bottom. An inward closing door - one hinged at the top, but closing from inside the trap - would reverse this geometry such that an animal pushing on the door from the inside would be acting to close the door even more tightly, thus preventing an escape. For smaller, less powerful animals, the existing design is fine.Date published: 2015-07-27Rated 5 out of 5 by TrapperTim from Tripod - the 3 legged raccoon Two weekends ago, Nancy called me downstairs to see something. There was a three legged raccoon eating spilled birdseed from feeders on our deck. She was concerned that if she had let our little dog out without seeing mr Raccoon, there might have been an unpleasant confrontation. I had small Havaharts since the 1950s, so I ordered a collapsible model 1089 and it arrived in a couple of days. Got it set up in about 60 seconds and baited it with Friskies pate' cat food. First morning - there is Mr. C waiting for us! I inverted the trap's cardboard shipping carton over the top of the trap to keep the coon calm, then carefully carried it to the truck. Placed the trap in the back with some bags on the carpet to keep any urine or fecal matter from getting into the carpet. I then hauled him to a nice wooded park with a lake and released him there. I never would have thought that a 3 legged raccoon could run so fast! Love my Havahart.Date published: 2014-10-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Works Great! I purchased this item from a local Home Depot at 6pm, set it up and captured a pesky racoon by 10 the same evening. The very next day i captured the groundhog that was living under my gazabo. I am on a roll! I highly recommend this trap! Both animals were relocated to new homes.Date published: 2014-10-17
