Designed For You by Trapping Professionals
The Havahart® Large Collapsible 1-Door Live Animal Trap is designed by trapping experts to be the most effective, convenient and durable trap of its kind. It is carefully constructed with a fine-tuned tripping mechanism that specially targets heavier critters like cats and raccoons - eliminating false triggers - and a powerful trap door that delivers quick, secure captures.
Collapsible and Space-Saving
A big trap can take up a lot of space in your shed or garage when you aren't using it. That's why Havahart® offers a large-sized trap that folds away for better storage. It's easy to collapse, and easy to put together when you're ready to set it up. No trap is more convenient.
Safe for You and the Animal
For You: A solid door and handle guard protect you from contact with a trapped animal, and the carrying handle allows you to hold the trap away from your body while an animal is inside.
For the Animal: A strong door lock keeps the animal safely inside the trap, while smooth, rolled internal trap edges prevent injuries to animals as they are being transported or as they struggle to escape.
Havahart® Traps are Built to Last
Havahart® builds the strongest, most durable traps with premium materials, intended to endure harsh weather and unpredictable animal behavior. Traps are constructed of industrial-strength, one-piece wire mesh, which is galvanized for maximum resistance to rust and corrosion. A solid door and steel reinforcements add to the durability of the trap, ensuring an even longer trap life.

Review RateFeral Cats on MauiAloha from Maui. as a Site Manager at a Community Association property we have been experiencing an over population of feral cats coming onto our property. We had one cat trap cage that was not enough. So I went online and found Havahart and they had what we needed, we ordered three new ones from Havahart the order only took two weeks from placing the order online and receiving the items ordered. The very first day that we put out the cat trap cages we caught two feral cats within the first hour. All I can say is Mahalo to Havahart for being there when we needed the new cat trap cages. I recommend any Community Association, AOAO, HOA, Apartment Community that has a feral cat problem to get Cat Trap Cages from Havahart online.
Review RateAwesome Product!I bought this 1089 model from home depot yesterday to control the population of groundhogs in my yard. I setup the trap at 12 noon and caught the first groundhog at 4 O clock, No wonder this is such a good trap I higly recommended this.
Review RateDid the JobPicked this up at Home Depot for the list price to catch a raccoon that had been spreading mulch all over the lawn and evidently eating roots and my cat's food if accidentally left out at night. Initially had to bend the triggering rods some to get a good release of the door, but then it worked great. Caught a cat on the 1st night. It was unbelievably aggressive. It took a few days to lure the raccoon into the trap with cat food and bacon. Finally dropped some bacon crumbs outside leading in and got him. This raccoon was the opposite of the cat. It was so calm and never made a sound. He just looked at me like he was very embarrassed to have been caught as I drove him to his new home. I had to coax him out and he just casually trotted away. Putting trap back away now until needed again.
Review RateThe Great EscapeOne of our indoor cats, Rocco, got out of the house through window with a broken screen. The poor little guy was outside for three nights. We knew where he was, but he was so scared (actually terrified) we couldn
Review Ratemodel 1089I already know that the Havahart brand has a solid reputation. I also bought a cheap "made in China" trap which I consider worthless now that I have the best. Thanks for making a quality product I can trust.
Review RateTNRI recently began participating in trapping, neutering and releasing a colony of cats abandoned by their owners when they were evicted. The longest it's taken me to trap a cat is maybe 30 minutes. The first 5 were trapped within 5-6 minutes. Very succcessful.
Review Ratequick resultswhen I first put the trap out, within a week I caught a groundhog and then skunk (now I know not to leave open at night!). but then I would lose the bait, the door would be closed..that went on for a few weeks. Well it turns out it was my fault!! I did not have the back door properly secured...the groundhog was able to squeeze out the back. Argh! But once I realized that, I put some sliced grape tomatoes using the plate method. Within 4 hrs, I got that groundhog!! I know another one will come soon, but I've got this great trap to get 'em with.
Review RateTripod - the 3 legged raccoonTwo weekends ago, Nancy called me downstairs to see something. There was a three legged raccoon eating spilled birdseed from feeders on our deck. She was concerned that if she had let our little dog out without seeing mr Raccoon, there might have been an unpleasant confrontation. I had small Havaharts since the 1950s, so I ordered a collapsible model 1089 and it arrived in a couple of days. Got it set up in about 60 seconds and baited it with Friskies pate' cat food. First morning - there is Mr. C waiting for us! I inverted the trap's cardboard shipping carton over the top of the trap to keep the coon calm, then carefully carried it to the truck. Placed the trap in the back with some bags on the carpet to keep any urine or fecal matter from getting into the carpet. I then hauled him to a nice wooded park with a lake and released him there. I never would have thought that a 3 legged raccoon could run so fast! Love my Havahart.
Review RateWorks Great!I purchased this item from a local Home Depot at 6pm, set it up and captured a pesky racoon by 10 the same evening. The very next day i captured the groundhog that was living under my gazabo. I am on a roll! I highly recommend this trap! Both animals were relocated to new homes.
