Trapping Has Never Been Easier
Controlling wild raccoons, armadillos and other destructive animals has never been easier than with Easy Set® traps. Patented Havahart® technology allows you to set your trap with just one hand. With Easy Set® you can let a trapped animal go without ever touching the door. Plus, the updated sturdy hardware gives you additional comfort, security, and durability.
Collapsible and Space-Saving
A big raccoon live trap can take up a lot of space in your garage or shed when not in use. That's why Havahart® offers a trap that folds away for storage. It's simple to collapse, and easy to put together when you are ready to use it. No trap is more convenient.
Set and Release with One Hand
Set this trap in just 1 simple step. Just pull on the patented Easy Set® lever to lock open the door, and it's ready for a catch. Best of all, the lever also allows you to release the animal while standing away from the trap, clear of the animal's escape path. Check out our videos to learn more.
Enlarged Hand Guard and Carrying Handle Protect You
An enlarged steel plate covers the entire width of the top of the trap, protecting your hand from contact with the animal. Plus, the updated, rigid plastic carrying handle makes the handling experience even more comfortable for you.
Safe, Rolled Metal Edges Protect the Animal
Just like the Havahart® trap you've relied on for years, this one is constructed of one-piece wire mesh, galvanized for resistance to rust and corrosion. And edges are polished smooth to protect the animal from injuring itself during transport.
No-Escape Door Locks Give You Peace of Mind
The tight spring-loaded door features an updated door lock with added reinforcements, making your groundhog trap more escape-proof than ever.

Review RateWort trap ever!
Worst trap ever! The door catches on the metal fittings on the sides of the trap, that is when it decides to actually trigger the door to close. I had a opossum simply walk right out of this trap (the spring on the door is not strong enough to keep the animal inside).Response From Havahart®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateCollapsing feature poor design.
As stated before, failure to lock. Easy to Set, but the collapsible feature which I liked causes a problem. When collapsed, the door is held open, which stretches the spring that closes the locking bail. After sitting for a long time collapsed, I got it out and trapped an armadillo. It failed to lock and animal escaped. Moving the spring to a different rung to tighten fixed, but have to store uncollapsed or remove spring to insure it will work again. Kinda defeats the collapsing intent!Response From Havahart®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateDon't Waster Your Money
My indoor cat darted out the door late one night. Bought this trap, set it up and tried it out several times to be sure that I had it set up correctly. I had a security camera set out to watch the trap and was excited when I saw my cat walk into the trap. However, I was angry when the trap door closed, obviously either not fast enough or not securely enough, and the cat darted back out the trap. This trap was returned to Lowes the next day. Thankfully I just trapped my cat 4 weeks later with a drop trap made from a different company when he should have been caught 3 weeks prior. Definitely go with a better made brand.Response From Havahart®Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for sharing this feedback. If the cat was not fully inside the trap when the trigger was engaged, this could have permitted it to back out of the trap as the door may not have locked in place. We apologize for this experience and are happy to hear that your cat was eventually caught.

Review Rategood cage, but handles need to be color coded.
The trap is great to TNR (Trap Neuter Release) cats. However, the handle that opens the trap door should be color coded/painted in red since many vet techs confuse the handle that lifts the cage and the handle that opens the trap door, thereby accidentally releasing a feral cat. This situation happened again yesterday, but unfortunately this time the cat bit the vet tech and had to be euthanized due to potential rabbis. Please paint the door lift handle a red color and write on this handle something to differentiate the two handles that are close together on top of the cage to avoid this type of confusion.
Review RateNeed better instructions
When I pulled the trap out of the box the trigger rod was stuck through the top and the back panel and was difficult to remove. Couldn't the trigger rod be fastened to the side of the trap for easy removal? And it would be helpful to note in the instructions that when the trigger rod is threaded into the loops on the underside of the trigger pan it should be below the first horizontal wire of the trap and above the bottom wire of the trap. The instructions do not state the height at which to thread it and the pictures in both picture 4, where the trigger rod is behind the hands and can not be seen and picture 6 of the instructions do not clearly show the height at which to thread the trigger rod. Threading it above the first wire will essentially make the trap inoperable as it will take too much pressure to set the trap. The door also is kind of touchy and will not set and/or close on it's own if the surface the trap is set on is not level.Response From Havahart®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateGreat trap!.. light, compact, fast and effective!I have been into TNR for feral cats for many years now, let me say this is the best trap available in the market today. Their best feature is the Easy-Set , even a child would know how to use it.
Cons: poor packaging, many arrived crushed. Small details imply mediocre quality control, not a great deal if you are mechanically inclined, but.. what if you aren`t?
Review RateAnimal CageBought this specific cage off the internet site because I could not find it locally in stores. The collapsable cage is ideal for storage. The BEST selling point in the 1-Step door open/close release system. No more worrying about getting your fingers close to animals leaving the cage. You need to play with the capture mechanism that closes the door after an animal trips the lever. When new it sticks a bit and does not slam down (the door) tightly at first. Other than that this was a great buy and the first time customer discount made this an excellent purchase. Thank you!
Review RateNice TrapBought two traps - door lock once trap is tripped not very positive - one trap damaged in shipment and bent spring bar that holds door shut - had to bend bar and realign spring - both traps not very positive lock after tripped ....stronger spring needed .........
Review RateWorks!...Easy to assemble. Trap is weight based, and too sensitive if sloped the wrong way or unstable (if the animal shakes the trap before entering, it will trigger the trap). Make sure to lift the gate side a bit, so the trigger is not too sensitive. I was a complete novice but got the animal after three nights (the first two, he triggered without entering)
Review RateArmadillos lost!Bought two 1092 traps for an armadillo problem on my property. Set them up without bait outside their dens and the first night caught two. The only problem was they both escaped since the u-bar locking mechanism didn't hold the trap door tight and each armadillo was able to push until the door opened. To fix it - I put rubber bands around the u-bar to hold it tight and ensured that the spring trap mechanism was secured in place at the elbow of the u-bar with tape. The trap now works well with the door holding tight. I expect to catch another two armadillos tonight and this time having them in their respective cages tomorrow morning.
