The Top Choice for Humane Leagues Across the Country

Endorsed by top rescue leagues around the country, this all-in-one feral cat trapping kit has everything you need to trap and care for stray and feral cats. This trap is ideal for use with Trap-Neuter-Return programs, as well as catching the pesky stray in your yard.

Expert-Designed to Give You a Smooth Cat-Trapping Experience

This Havahart® humane cat trap is specifically designed to make catching feral cats easy. It's built with a large trip plate to ensure contact with the animal, and its targeted trip mechanism prevents smaller critters from falsely triggering the spring-loaded door closed.

Special Features Help You Care for Trapped Cats

This Feral Cat Trap Rescue Kit comes with accessories that make caring for your cat simple. Slip the burlap trap cover over the trap to camouflage it or to soothe the cat while it's inside. Insert the trap divider and hook open the hinged back door, so you can feed your cat without it escaping.

Safe for You and for the Cat

For You: A solid handle guard and doors protect you from contact with the trapped cat, and the sturdy carrying handle allows you to hold it away from your body.

For the Cat: Strong door locks keep the feral cat safely inside, while smooth, rolled internal trap edges prevent injuries. Plus, it's spacious, so stray cats will feel comfortable while in captivity.

Collapsible and Space-Saving

A large stray cat trap can take up a lot of space when you're not using it. That's Havahart® offers one that folds away for storage. It's simple to collapse, and easy to put together when you need it. No cat trap is more convenient.

Bye Bye feral cats
By William M. Wallace "Gift Giver"

Until a neighbor left behind 20+ cats and kittens we never had a feral cat problem. Having 6 cats of our own, we love these animals and would never harm them but something had to be done. A TNR, trap neuter, return program was the best way to handle our situation. I now can trap these stray, feral cats, neuter them and return them but be certain that I am not allowing the problem of overpopulation to continue. The Havaheart trap/cage is the first and best step to holding down the cat population.

LOVE HAVAHART!!
By Kymberleigh

I'm like the prior feral cat trapper. A neighbor sold her house and the dirtbag left 13+ unfixed cats behind. I have 3 of my own indoor/outdoor and the fights began. I contacted my humane society (Pasadena,CA) and they have a TNR program for their citizens. I now have a feral cat colony of 15 feral cats who are all fixed/vaccinated/de-flea'd and most importantly, no longer fight with my cats or any other in the neighborhood. I then took the traps to my office and repeated the performance. I have 2 traps and will buy more. All of my friends are now trapping and helping others trap to alleviate the issue. We have saved lives, prolonged others, alleviated our stress, no more vet bills, no more howling toms or pregnant cats and we are spreading the word. I've worked with Alley Cat Allies & Stray Cat Nation. I never knew there were TNR programs until this issue. It helps everyone involved. TNR'ing is free with Pasadena and I always donate on my way out to help whomever's behind me. Havaharts are easy, strong, never fail & the tips are amazing! It's stressful enough to trap, but this is something my neighborhood can feel great about! Don't hesitate...spread the word & get a Havahart trap!

FAQ
Q.What is the benefit of a 1-door trap versus a 2-door trap?
A.

If used as directed, 1-door traps and 2-door traps are equally effective. Whether you purchase a 1 or 2-door trap is a matter of preference. Some trappers prefer to use 1-door traps because they are easier to bait; since the back end is closed, you can place the bait beyond the trigger plate ensuring that the animal walks further into the trap before reaching it. Others prefer to use 2-door traps, as an animal might be more confident in entering the cage if it can see through to the other side.
Regardless of your preference, Havahart® offers both one-door and two-door traps to satisfy all consumers.

Q.How can I test my trap to make sure that it works properly?
A.

Start by setting your trap. Using a pen or another object (not your finger), carefully touch the trip plate from either end, applying just a bit of pressure. The door should quickly snap closed.

Q.Where should I place the bait in my trap?
A.

The bait should be placed in a way that requires the cat to fully enter the trap and step on the trigger plate in order to reach it. For this model, it’s best to place the bait directly beyond the trip plate, toward the closed back door of the trap.  For more baiting tips, read How to Bait
