Rabbit Repellents
Repellents are an effective alternative to a physical barrier and can also be less expensive than the cost of fencing.
DeFence™ by Havahart® repels wild rabbits by scent (putrescent eggs). DeFence™ by Havahart® contains the highest level of active ingredient to repel wild rabbits from your ornamentals. OMRI listed and USDA approved for use in organic gardening, DeFence™ by Havahart® dries odorless to humans.
Also available is our premium, patented, dual deterrent, Havahart® Deer Off® Deer, Rabbit and Squirrel repellent. Deer Off® packs a 1, 2 punch repelling wild rabbits by scent (putrescent eggs & garlic) and taste (capsaicin). Rabbits are deterred by this scent and taste. Our new Deer Off battery operated sprayer, pictured at right, helps alleviate sore wrists! Quick and easy to set up, the Havahart® Spray Away detects motion and shoots a three second blast of water. The sudden motion, water spray and sprinkler sound combine to startle the rabbit, sending it away.
Rabbit Traps

Rabbit Exclusion
Fencing is an effective option for all critters who venture where they are not wanted. Putting up chicken wire or hardware cloth gets the job done.
Be sure to place it two to three feet high (so a rabbit standing on its hind legs cannot reach the plant being protected) and bury it two to three inches into the ground.
