Groundhog Traps

The Havahart® Medium Easy Set Trap Model 1085, features innovative updates on the set-up of a live trap. These enhancements on the old way traps were made and designed is nothing short of revolutionary! These groundhog traps feature spring loaded doors that close by themselves with animal weight.

The patented safe release mechanism, located on top of the trap, limits the user's interaction with the animal to be released - drastically reducing your chances of injury as you return the animal back to the wild.

These traps are perfect for trapping groundhogs. The safe release mechanism comes especially handy when catching or setting a groundhog free. Pull the lever and give the removed groundhog its space!
 
Four other choices are available for groundhogs, coming in a variety of shapes and sizes - Models 1045, 1050, 1079, and the large collapsible trap, Model 1089 - all would adequately house a groundhog before it is released back into the wild.

Groundhog Repellents

Groundhog Exclusion

Fencing can be an effective option in thwarting groundhog damage.

The fencing should be, at the very least, wire in strength and buried deep into the ground. Groundhogs are burrowers and as such may be able to dig below the barrier and still emerge where they are not wanted. Such is the risk with resorting to potentially expensive fencing tactics to thwart groundhog activity.
