All About Armadillos Armadillos are known for their unique armored shell. When threatened, an armadillo will jump straight up in the air or it may also fall on it's side and curl up in a ball.
Armadillos are prolific diggers and use their sharp claws for digging dens for food such as grubs. They will cause the homeowner problems by digging or burrowing in the lawn or garden to find the grubs. | | | Armadillo Control Options

In order to trap an armadillo, you will need to construct a funnel of sorts to lead the critter in.
One idea is to place wood barriers on either side, baiting the trap with our recommended armadillo baits. Once caught, transport the armadillo at least two miles away. Remember to check with your local or state game commission for regulations concerning relocating animals. Armadillo Exclusion
Fencing or barriers may exclude armadillos under certain conditions. A fence slanted outward at a 40 degree angle, with a portion buried, can be effective.
Keeping your lawn or garden free of brush and cover should also dissuade armadillos from establishing residence on your property. Havahart® offers a variety of armadillo traps to help you with your armadillo control needs. | | | |
